A little over a week since ANA Cargo made digital history with the first FRA-TPE booking using cargo.one in a beta-version in IBS’s new plug and play iCargo Sales Platform, (CFG reported), ANA Cargo and cargo.one have now officially kicked-off the integration of all of ANA’s capacity in cargo.one, enabling real-time bookings across its large network.
ANA reinstating major Asian destinations in the summer
Today, 22JUN20, sparks the official kick-off: As the destinations re-open, freight-forwarders will now have easy web-based access to ANA’s extensive network with a focus on top destinations in
Asia such as HND, NRT, HKG, SIN and more for bookings with instant confirmation.
Over the past week, ANA has been bringing back many of its European cargo flights. Key German, UK and French destinations are now open for bookings from freight forwarders using cargo.one, with
Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Sweden, and other markets following soon. In total, Japan’s largest airline offers 58 international routes and an attractive 117 domestic routes thanks to
its unique dual hub set-up out of Tokyo’s Narita and Haneda airports, which also includes same-day connections to North American, Asian and Chinese cities, when not affected by corona
restrictions.

cargo.one’s eBooking solutions see massive user increase
The same crisis that has restricted air traffic movement, has also accelerated the move to digitalization, especially to reliable, real-time eBooking solutions, as seen by the explosion in number
of freight forwarders opting for cargo.one over the past few months alone.
ANA Cargo is well aware of this acceleration in eBooking attractivity, as Toshiaki Toyama, Executive Vice President of ANA, confirms: “The COVID-19 pandemic has been a catalyst for the
increased digital sourcing and booking behavior of freight forwarders and has encouraged our companies to join together with an even stronger bond. Through this partnership, ANA can now guarantee
a secure, first-class digital booking experience on cargo.one. We are extremely excited to join the cargo.one family and look forward in the coming months to offering more products and services
to freight forwarders around the world via the platform.”
No rest for the eBooking-solution-provider’s wicket
“With cargo.one, it is possible for every airline to access incremental revenues and strengthen their top line,” says Moritz Claussen, Founder & Managing Director at cargo.one.
“We have further standardized our processes while always keeping a customer-centric approach that is tailored towards the individual needs of our airline partners. We are very happy to have
ANA on board now and look forward to expanding our partnership.” The partnership with ANA was initially announced on 19FEB20, which underlines the speed at which digital improvement can take
place, despite major corona upheavals. The original plan was to go live early in the second quarter of this year, before the aviation world was put on hold for a while.
COVID-19 has rushed cargo.one off its feet, with new user requests seemingly doubling every month of shutdown as companies sought solutions that their staff could use whilst working remotely
instead of in the office. It will be interesting to see if carago.one achieves a four-figure percentage increase by the end of this year. The company is continuously working on improving the
digital capabilities of its airline partners and has quickly become a digital house-hold name in the air cargo
industry.
