UPS has announced the appointment of Scott Price as Chief Transformation Officer. He will join the Atlanta-based express company this week.

The UPS Chief Transformation Officer role is a newly created position and Price is charged with “driving and facilitating organisational change that will help UPS to both identify and execute
opportunities for profitable growth within its existing business units and in yet-untapped markets and product segments.” Quite an undefined and ample job description offering many opportunities,
but also bearing the risk of failure given the wide range of responsibilities.
Price is currently executive vice president, Global Leverage for Walmart International, a segment of Walmart’s overall operations with more than 6,200 stores and more than 774,000 associates in
27 countries outside the U.S.
From DHL to UPS
In his new position, Price will also join the UPS Management Committee, and will report to UPS Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David Abney.
He will be based at the company’s global headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.
Before joining Walmart, he served as CEO of DHL Express Europe. Previously, he was CEO of DHL Express Asia Pacific. He also was president of DHL Express Japan, DHL's largest market in the
Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining DHL, Price spent a decade with the Coca-Cola Co.
