China's e-commerce giant Alibaba has further expanded its network in Europe with the recent signing of a partnership deal with postal operator PostNord Denmark.

Under the agreement, PostNord will establish a Nordic platform on the shopping portal Tmall Global, which will allow Danish and Nordic e-tailers to reach Chinese consumers and increase
cross-border deliveries into the country. The site assists companies which are not yet established in China or that want to expand their e-commerce target group to include Chinese
consumers.
350 million Chinese are shopping online
PostNord has already a link with China Post, whose portal ule.com serves as a gateway for numerous Danish e-tailers who are keen to enter the Chinese market.
According to Peter Kjær Jensen, head of business for e-commerce and logistics, PostNord, China has about 350 million consumers who shop online, and Alibaba Group is the biggest e-commerce player.
"So this collaboration makes it possible for us to help Danish and Nordic businesses sell their products in China, while we handle shipping.”
