FCS Celebrates First Christmas in FRA

No, not Fraport Cargo Services this time.
It was Frankfurt Cargo Services - also known as FCS - which celebrated their first annual Christmas party for friends and clients in Frankfurt on 17. December.

For those readers who do not know FRA that well, Fraport Cargo Services (FCS), a onetime 100 percent daughter of the airport operator, Fraport, sold a 51 percent majority share of the company these past months to Worldwide Flight Services (WFS).
The official title of the new entity has now been passed and it’s known as Frankfurt Cargo Services - also an FCS.

The old FCS always celebrated a Christmas party every year along with their now famous “Bempel Awards” for clients who had blessed them with the highest tonnage and volume increases for the year. The Bempel is the traditional jug for holding Applewine.

The new FCS was no exception
The party took place, the Bempels were awarded and everybody had a good time.
The new FCS management under the direction of Hans-Georg Emmert took this opportunity to introduce the new majority owners, WFS to the 150 or so people who attended.

Olivier Bijaoui, WFS’s President & CEO attended along with Yves Pinoy, WFS Senior V.P. Europe and Martin Meyer. V.P. Global Sales and Business Development.
Olivier, in his short speech to the audience apologized for not being able to converse (yet) in German but made it clear that he was happy to be at the first Christmas get together as majority owner of the new FCS and he was convinced the company has an exciting future in store during the coming years.

We have to wonder what further plans Olivier and his team have for FCS and Germany as a whole.
We’ll surely see those emerging in the near future and one has the feeling that there will be more interesting revelations with regards to other possible acquisitions or cooperations by Mr Bijaoui in the coming weeks or months.
