The IAG Cargo ‘Cargo Connector‘ service was started in 2012 in the USA and was in its initial stages geared towards collection of export shipments only.
This has changed as of mid-November.

´Customers in the U.S. can now enjoy an import delivery service in which their shipments are transferred directly from the incoming aircraft to the local forwarding agent’s cargo handling
facilities.
IAG Cargo’s small shipments collection service was set up in the U.S. in 2012 and was geared towards picking up small shipments with IAG’s fleet of trucks at the shippers door and bringing them
directly to the airline handling facilities.
The IAG Cargo clients can now benefit from a combined export and import Cargo Connector service at eight U.S. airports.
They are New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle and Houston.

Import services will add to Cargo Connector’s success, say IAG Cargo
The service allows for the pick-up and delivery of shipments up to a maximum weight of 300 kilos.
Joe LeBeau, IAG Cargo’s Regional Commercial Director for North America is proud of having been able to extend the Cargo Connector service to import shipments.
He says “Cargo Connector has proved to be a huge success in the North American market, and beyond. Our new delivery service builds on this success; making it easier for importers to get goods to
market quickly and with minimal effort.”
The new import service is available to customers from Tuesday through to Saturday and IAG Cargo also can arrange freight screening if required.
The Cargo Connector export service is also offered at London Heathrow.
Probably only a matter of time before the import programme is also being used there as well.
