Former chief executive officer of Champ Cargosystems, John Johnston, has joined Accelya, the former Kale Consultants Group (which changed its name into Accelya in 2012), as chief executive officer.
Based in Pune, India, Accelya is a leading provider of financial and business intelligence solutions to the airline and travel industry,
In a statement, Accelya said Johnston's appointment is a part of the succession plan of Philippe Lesueur, president of the Accelya Group, who will continue to remain on the board of Accelya
companies and serve as an advisor.
Commenting on his appointment John Johnston said, “Accelya is a great company and leader in its field, providing exceptional customer service. I am excited about the opportunity to drive further
growth, expanding the global team and opening new markets.”
While at Champ, Johnston has been instrumental in turning the company into one of the world’s largest dedicated IT providers to the air cargo Industry. Before that, Johnston held senior executive
positions in several countries and has provided senior management and consulting services to a number of global airlines.
